Call for Volunteers: Stemle Collection

Dr. Michael Strezewski Presentation

Come to the next FOAS meeting, Saturday November 9 2-4 to hear Dr. Michael Strezewski of University of Southern Indiana discuss the Mann Site. Located in Posey County, this Middle Woodland Site has mounds and earthworks. See how it is related to regional Native American cultures. The meeting will be held at the Jeffersonville Indiana


A New Look!

We’ve just updated our website look!earlier this year, we ran into some issue with our web host which took our site down and some data was lost during that time. We’ve recovered as much as we could and used this to revamp the entire site for a more streamlined look. We’ll be re-adding the galleries


FOAS ARPA Presentation

Clark County Museum

FOAS makes contribution to the newly opened Clark County Museum in honor of the memory of former member Jeff Stoner. The money is to be used to provide educational programming for archaeology. Bett Etenohan, FOAS, shown here giving check to Jeannie Burke, Clark County Museum.


May Meeting

The Saturday May 13 meeting of FOAS will feature Mike Linderman who is the Site Director at Angel Mounds. He is in possession of the personal photos/slides of Glenn and Ida Black that details their life during the early excavations at Angel Mound and some of the trips they took with Eli Lilly and wife,
